Stephanie has always been intrigued by the idea that we can communicate with creativity and art to share our personal beliefs, emotions, and ideas. As performers, we are given the opportunity to enlighten, humour, provoke emotion, intrigue, and inspire not only our audiences, but ourselves as well.
It was at a young age that Stephanie first discovered this with her weekly lessons at The Dance Gallery, directed by Maureen Duggan of Kamloops. With this professional guidance from her teachers, Stephanie obtained her Advanced I Ballet examination with the Royal Academy of Dance and was chosen as the BC provincial festival of the performing arts representative for six consecutive years in both ballet and stage.
Her background is in Tap, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Ballet, Contemporary, Pointe and Lyrical. To continue her studies she attended the college program at Randolph Academy and graduated in August of 2012 with her Diploma in Musical Theatre Performing Arts.
Some of her favourite show credits include, the 2010 Winter Olympic Opening Ceremonies, Western Canada Theatre’s production of Beauty and the Beast, Cyrano De Bergerac and Hair with Randolph Academy, and The Rocky Horror Picture Show with the Lower Ossington Theatre. She is excited to share this passion with students and watch each of them grow as they find their way in the world of the arts.
