Sally began her love of dance at the Hong Kong Preliminary Ballet School at the age of three. Moving to Vancouver, she trained at the Goh Ballet Academy studying Vaganova technique and the RAD syllabus. After completing the intensive Professional Training Program, she joined the School of Alberta Ballet under the direction of Aram Manukyan (Armenian Ballet) and Shirley Proust (ISTD Examiner). Sally began her undergraduate degree at the University of Calgary and continued her studies through the Simon Fraser University School of Contemporary Arts. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Dance while serving the role as Co-President for the SFU Dance Student Union. Her training includes Classical Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, Hip Hop, Character and Chinese dance. She also has a strong background in music and completed her Graded Piano RCM examinations. Sally has been in many repertoires including La Fille mal Garde, Giselle, Sleeping Beauty, Nutcracker, Don Quixote, Paquita and Balachine Conservatory. Her goal is to provide extensive training with advanced knowledge and share her passion for the arts. Sally is excited to teach RAD syllabus classes to the students at Shift and help them learn to love ballet as she does!
