Amy Gardner

Guest Teacher - “So You Think You Can Dance Canada”

I committed early in life to extensive training in ballet, contemporary, jazz, lyrical, hip hop, tap, musical theatre and ballroom. By the age of 17 I had completed all levels of the ADAPT syllabus in jazz and tap and passed my R.A.D Advanced Ballet Exam with distinction. Since then, I have expanded my repertoire while training in Vancouver, Los Angeles, Montreal, Toronto and New York. While in Vancouver, I joined a professional training company called ‘Modus Operandi” directed by Tiffany Tregarthen and David Raymond. This experience influenced my dancing significantly, as it exposed me to a world of dance routed in organic movement and self-discovery as a creative artist. Since then, I have had the opportunity to further expand my knowledge of the professional dance industry while working on many different projects, which have included film, television, national tours and industrial performances. To date, some of my credits include So You Think You Can Dance Top 10 dancer, The X Factor USA, Mirror Mirror, COBU 3D, Sur le Rythme,  Pinup Saints National Tour, Sarah MacLachlan and K’Naan. Each and every experience so far has given me new insight and pushed me to grow as a professional dance artist.
